Need help with K&B3.5 Gold carb OB

Hi all,

Am looking for carb settings, what maint does this engine require? Like been reading about flex shafts and lubing them? How often do i need to lube them?? Or any other hints you all might have, let me know

NitroToys,

Open the needle=valve 4 turns. That should be a rich setting and then adjust in from there. If you are running a K&B 3.5ss with aircooled head, it needs to start off the beach a little on the rich side. It takes some testing, just try to avoid constantly running the motor lean.

It doesn't hurt to give the flex shaft a shot of grease after each run. A grease gun with a point works fine. You should be able to fine one at an automotive supply store.

After you're done running for the day, remove the glow plug and flush the motor with something like WD 40 and then run a light weight oil through the motor. Marvel Mystery oil works fine. All kinds of ideas on best products for flushing out a motor, but WD 40 and Marvel M.O are readily available.
