So with the new season soon to be starting, and lots of new parts and props to try Phill, Leon, and I decided to have a little test session a few weeks ago. We all managed to pick up some more speed compared to these early in the day videos, so have all left the lake with smiles on our faces.

http://youtu.be/vIAM93q8ymE - Phill's KEPS

http://youtu.be/OQNaJX0rSbM - Martin's KEPS

http://youtu.be/44tUTCKPkgo - Leon's KEPS

http://youtu.be/a3brZMwT8bA - Leon and Martin having some fun

PS- if anyone can tell me how to embed a youtube video rather than using the links that would be great to know in the future

Martin,

The boats look good on the water.

It looks like we can tweak the propellers a touch more.

Watch the rooster tails in the videos?

Check out the inner cone spray as the boats go on by.

We can fix this.

Mark,

Can you elaborate on this comment? What exactly are you seeing in the rooster tail that isn't correct? Do you have a link to a video of what a rooster tail should look like?

Thanks

I like 'em...congratulations on some nice builds guys... i didnt see anything rooster that was beyond the galaxy... whats your theory Mark? more trailing edge cup by small increments to increase/tighten the thrust cone?... let us in so we can solve a high rooster problem... strut angle?.. what?.. thanks mike

I watched on youtube: Martin's keps is very faster second Phill' keps is very fast ( seem run 'lean" ) so the three Keps riggers were good stable smooth .

Guys,

It is no secret the longer we can keep the water on the blade and redirect it back in

a tighter cone angle the better the propeller will run for us. Bend the tip down ever so

slightly and retest the boat. It may take a few corrections to get them better than they were.

We call it adding tip cup or the catchers mitt to the tip of the propeller. It will help the rooster

tail lay down and it will also add a little more speed to your set up. Caution this needs to be

added at the pond or lake when you are testing. Just a touch goes a long way in helping

The Rooster tail lay down more behind the boat.

Cheers Mark,

You make it sound so simple. So just to be sure when you say bening the tip down, when the prop is in essence on the boat the bend is away from the transom.
