liner intake port cleaning (deburing)

Just curious how many people clean the top of the liner intake ports as in the tiny rough chrome line after chroming? And do they find any improvement or not. I've tried cleaned and not but not sure if its any better.

YES!! ALL flashing should be removed from a new motor.

When you say ALL flashing ,do you also mean the bottom and sides of all intake ports? And if leaving ex timing stock do you do that as well?

Yes. All the edges should have no burrs or flashing.

yes! i use diamond points,that i usually get on ebay.sometimes menards or wal mart has them also

Diamond file works well...
