I picked up a engine that is missing the piston pin glide on the pin and has been started and put a couple scratches in the sleeve that are pretty deep. can it be saved and would anyone have a nylon glide that goes on the pin for me ?

I found one in a old wore out sport 40 I had.
I was curious though. Do these engines not use a front seal ? Also with those gouges in the sleeve its at 14 thou squish and compression doesn't seem the greatest. Maybe because its not broken in yet. It has a real tight pinch still. shame a engine gets a life like that because of a broken pin button . ughhh.

Dang Looking at the cylinder pic I can almost see what ate the nylon up . I need to chamfer those edges of the ports . I will have to take that apart one more time and do that before I run it. wow what a mess .

Looks like someone has attacked the boost ports with a dremel without chamfering and not left much material between ports,,it should look like this
The front bearing is normally unsealedkb 2 liner.jpg

I will have to look around for a sleeve if this one wont hold up after I chamfer it. It does look really thin compared to yours.
