Yep, saw it on hobbyking today. for $40 ($38 if you wait on the page for a while) you can get a fully assembled knock off of one of my plans.

not a dead copy but pretty close. Likely had to make changes because it is all 1/8 light ply i'm guessing.

Lots of problems with the build though..... no turn fin for one!

Geez..... I bet zippkits will be happy they did not build a JAE!

One little change and its a different boat, plus this is a prebuilt yours is a plan. Its tough to see your work copied but that's the way is is in the real world. Wow, $40 that's hard to compete with on price!

ya know i'm not really pissed about it.... it's a free plan I gave away as a free download..... it's also just like the old climate predator and blizzard..... both of those are also based on my free plan.... I know cause the guy used to cut my kits and he told me so. I have intentionally stayed out of the hobbyking discussions that have come up on this board in the past. I see the junk they sell come into the shop regularly. I know this will trigger the "I love thier stuff" crowd, but the number of people that are VERY dissapointed when they recieve this junk is very high. I think it is interesting that more people are not insulted at the "buy it now or this offer will never come up again" approach that they have on the website. I can't imagine telling one of my valued customers something so condescending.

But where is Hobby King's headquarters? Tower/Horizon is in Illinois and that makes them a US based company.
