Hey Guys,
There have been several questions regarding the speed of specific set-ups. Below is a link to FEcalc, an Excel program provided by Stephen (SPUDS on the RRH board) in Texas.
You can input specific parameters such as hull type, motor, speed control and prop, and out pops speed, current draw, etc.
You can also modify the .TXT file to add motors, etc. that are not currently on the list.
For instance, a Hydro with an 8XL on twelve cells turning an X642 is projected to run 49 mph.
I use it to avoid “the magic smoke”, i.e. smoking equipment from drawing to many amps.
Stephen has done a terrific job on this, many thanks.
All the best,
Ray
