I'm at the point of grinding on the prop shaft for the drive dog and wanted to know the minimum and maximum total hub lengths for the popular F-Hydro props. The total hub length range seems to be about 7/8" to 1.25". Does that sound right? Or am I missing an odd prop?

Thanks!

I have 1.150 inch from the centerline of the set screw to the first thread on my SST Twin. That's not to the end of the stub shaft only the start of the threads. It works for 1667 & H48 & 1475 props, I don't have any of the new high rake ABC props yet so can't comment on those

I've found that a thick O-ring works better than fuel tubing behind the prop. I also sand the crowns of the threads to soften them and use a stainless steel lock nut (the shake proof kind that has the nylon in it) I turn the hex off on a lathe and make the nuts round and use a split coller to turn the nut on.

Thanks, John
