Hello all,

Feel free to move this to a different topic area if necessary.

After dealing with some light/medium duty canopies over the years I am looking for something that is a little better value when it comes to long term use, and quality... I don't mind spending money, but don't want to throw good money after bad.

I am curious if anyone currently owns a http://www.eurmax.com/canopy? I would be interested in hearing your thoughts and what model you actually purchased. I am really liking what information they have to offer on their products.

I know that many have http://ezup.com/brand also.

In an attempt to compare the two, it seems you get a little more bang for you buck on Eurmax units in the same price range.

Any input would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Ball

I don't make the rules, I just havta follow them.

Levi's makes jeans, Nike makes running shoes, and EZUP makes canopies...

Get one of these and you'll never need another: https://www.ezup.com/enterprise-g3.html (shop around, they're often on sale).

This is the canopy I have Mike. I've had it for 22plus years and have changed the material top only once. Not because the material failed but because the stitching let go. I considered having it repaired but decided to purchase new. No more puddled water to drain off or concerns about it blowing away.

ps. I believe the difference between the one Terry has and mine is the wall thickness of the frame. And yes, it is heavy

I dont know about Euromax, but I really like my ez-up, and Terry is right if not not in a hurry shop around as prices vary a lot and often.

I think I paid around $200

Hi Mike

Mine are Caravan. Pricey but nice. Been holding up pretty good. There is a long thread on Jims about the Eurmax. Seems to be the canopy of choice with Gas guy's. Jims is off line for now but I would check it out when they are back.

In looking at the Eurmax features compared to my Caravan I think I may go with the Eurmax if and when I needed to. Looks like stronger legs and metal feet. Plastic feet crack even on the higher end canopies. Although I like the weight and strength of the aluminum - I have the industrial aluminum model. But it still has the crappy plastic feet.

The feet on mine are metal Mike. I've seen them all and never have I seen one with as heavy a frame or tighter top. They are pricey I admit, but I know people on their 3rd or fourth in the time I've owned mine.

I bet I have had 5 or 6 cheapos during the time that RJ has had his

I want to thank everyone for offering their input. After comparing specifications on the commercial level units; I’ve decided to give eurmax a try. It seems you’re getting the same quality/features (if not better) at a slightly lower price when compared to the other commercial level units.

Thanks!

Can you get parts?

BTW, you're breaking the rules.

Yes Sir! They even have an exploded view to reference. http://www.eurmax.com/pro-frame-parts.html

They also have a nice selection of "accessories" that will come in handy - http://www.eurmax.com/pop-up-tent-accessaries.html

That's a far cry from the Quick Shade unit used to own.

I don't know that I am breaking the rules, but I sure am trying to save a buck! I don't like the term cheap when I am spending money, but I do like "value"

My 2017 racing budget was over drafted 3 months ago. Needless to say, a new high-end canopy wasn't part of the plan either!
