I was in need of a new Dremel and went to Lowes yesterday. I got a great deal on the 4000 model with 3 attachments and 34 accessories. The regular price was about $89.00 but it rang up at $74.00 plus the sales guy gave me a coupon for another 10% off (Lowes Dremel days through Feb.). Finally price out the door was like $73.00.

Good luck i wont buy another Dremel tool again .There junk in my opinion got 4 that went into the trash.I sent them to the factory they sent a qoute back told them to trash them they sent them back to me in the trash they went.I will stick with airtools.

I have 5 hanging on the wall now. Each are set up for a different operation. The only problems that I have had were when they were severly abused. I agree on the one part though, they are not repairable. When they do break, trash them, get a new one and move on.

Fellas,

When you want a real machine try a SR-Foredom Flexshaft.

18,000 RPM @ 1.7 Amps. Just get a few different handpieces

that plug right in to the cable and there you have something good.

I have two of them, both with variable speed foot switches, one is

bench mounted and the other is a flexshaft with multiple handpieces.

Jewelers use them all day every day for years. Best money I have ever

spent period. :)
