I'm pleased with the finish on the epoxy of my sport20. I don't think I can spray paint or fuel proffer anywhere near as good so was thinking of just leaving the hull covered in two coats of West systems.

Will it stand up to fuel or do I need to paint and fuel proof?

Epoxies in general are very fuel resistant. Wesy Sysytems is one of the best epoxies that I've used, its clear, sandable and very consistent. I use it primarily as a clear-coat for my boats.

I also use it to fuel-proof all of the boat internal sections including the engine and fuel tank areas. I use 35% nitro and have not noticed any degradation of the epoxy in these areas.

Hope this helps

So, if someone has already finished their boat with epoxy, is it ok to spray a clear coat over the epoxy?

Thanks,

Snowdog
