What is a "hot pipe" vs just a tuned pipe?

Just wording! Neither is really very accurate unless you are referring to temperature or build a pipe for a specific engine design.

hot pipes are tuned pipes. as are cold pipes. tuned means it has a baffle for a return wave. a hot pipe is a pipe that doesnt have water cooling.

The "hot pipe" was a nickname for the Quickdraw tuned pipe they sold with their engines. It has since become one of the best pipes for gas motors. Compared to other early gas pipes, the QD pipe was produced in steel compared to aluminum.
