Any "lessons learned" that any one would like to pass on for the installation of 1/4 shaft tube?

Boat design:

45" Dumas Deep vee

OPS 90 nitro engine

surface drive setup (Marine Spec)

Recently I used a 1:3 premium epoxy resin instead of polyester. Found it worked a lot better. Also paid extra for 3 direction glass matt - very strong and thick.

Don't forget to rough file or sand with heavy grit the tube for extra hold.

Make sure the area is sanitized. You don't want greasy fingerprints under glue or resin.

Use a quality masking tape to mask areas you don't want glue...
