I grew up running Pinckert boats. With the angle of attack and planing surface this boat has on the front sponsons, do not hesitate to run a lot of shaft angle. I'd try 2-3 degrees to start. Don use to put out setup sheets on this boat running full angle like a hard shaft even with a flex shaft. Have fun, Jeff Lutz
 
I ran a .45 Coyote back in the 1980's. I started running it with nearly a "full angle" at the strut. It was not fast at that point. I gradually adjusted the strut higher, and with less angle to the water, and it ended up being a very fast boat for the time period.
