I agree with Outlaw, so to keep the dust off the post I think Tim should give everyone a summary of how the "performance enhanced" TT went the other week. It looked good to me, I think you should do a bit of bragging Tim ;)

Hmm! well I might have to send a secret performance enhancer up to tim next week and make the tigers growl a bit stronger! ;)

Yeah - it went well once it came on pipe. Just took several warming up laps to get on! To say I was surprised would be a major understatement. One thing for sure though, I Need bigger fuel tank and earlier launch!!!! Handling wise was great - best the WOF has ever handled.

James' HTB290 is mighty impressive in how it handles - it's going to be tough to beat this year.

Yo Tim, I'll workup some buttons for the older TT with a "bowl shape" and get the plug face closer to the piston.

I want to Thank You for finding that error in my early buttons, That really took the mistery out of the problem

of lighting-up in time for the start. They will really fly once lit, double stage the pipe, The Whole Enchilada

My wifes gunna kill me if I spelled that wrong :(

Geday lads. I just got back from England a couple of weeks ago, so Im around again  I pulled me old tunnel out the other day, and blew the dust off it. It hasnt changed a bit, its just the way it was when I left a year and a half ago. I was thinking what to do with it, and I guess im kinda keen to get back into racing. It wouldnt take much convincing.... (hint, hint)

So whats new these days? How many in the class is there? whats it worth for membership to ampba now?

Yeah mate, overseas was a blast. I enjoyred it heaps, but its good to be back. Keep me informed on when you will next be at penrith, and ill come up when I can. Im not working at the moment, so when I find a job (soon) ill get right back into it. I hear you are making legs for the zenoha's. Very intersting..... Ive had a good look through the forums and I like what I have seen so far.

hey guys just thought i would drop in an say gdaytim i might just have to pick ur brain to get my wof handlein a litle better lol laters dion

No worries Dion. This worked for me but keep in mind my boat has a heavy TT hanging off the back.

What I did was put 1/2" wide stumble block on the right hand side of the tunnel, and no stumble block on the opposite side. I set the pin angle for the TT to 90 degrees to the table. I ran the propshaft at a tiny negative angle - almost at zero. Then I moved the tank as far back as I could go and reset the static CG to 30% from the transom using lead weight on the radio box.

After I made all of these changes the boat felt totally different to drive. I ran it in open water when the Petrol Mono's were out and it handled running over the wakes surprisingly well for a tunnel, and showed no signs of spinning in tight turns either. Not as loose in the straights as before but far more predictable around the whole course.

Roll call guys - who's going to the NSW Country Champs in Finley NSW and what are you likely to be running?

I'll most likely be running the WOF30 / TT but if I get it finished in time the new beast might make an appearance.

A Hydro is a strong possibility - Not sure what other boats I'll take with me. More than 2 boats seriously eats into socialising time!

I'll be there for a big day of testing with props and set up on my .21 Seducer and my .21 HTB.

Last chance before we head off to Finley for the NSW Country Championships ...Yahooooo!

Ian,

MBCofNSW membership expires 30th June.

What boat are going to bring to Penrith on Sunday? I think the last time I saw you there you had a freshly painted TS2, have you still got it? The 'A' and 'B' Outboard Tunnel classes are building up.

I hope you are going to join in.

Regards,

James
