There is no doubt that Mike knows a lot about radios. But Futaba does care about boaters. They help sponsor the 2023 NAMBA Nationals. They had a tent setup at the race and was helping and repairing radios on the spot. If they could not be repaired on site they loan a radio to the racer and took theirs to the repair center for repair. And they brought it back the next morning. Does not get any better than this.
Also one of their team members is a club member of ours. Of course it is nice that they are in our back yard. I broke the screen on my 7PX a few weeks after the Nats the week before the Voodoo race, called them and when to the center the next morning. Got to tour the center and they fixed my radio in the process. I was out the door in about 45 minutes of getting there with my 7PX repaired.

Yeah that was awesome of them. I actually bought my first brand new radio from them at this event. They answer all my questions about the new radio. I have only ever ran radios that were discontinued. Ran 3PJ and 4PK forever. I always could pick them up cheap. I think the last new radio I bought was back in the early 90s. They were very helpful. My buddy Jim Mammaril won the 10PXR that was in the raffle.

I hate to tell you this, but you are going to need to do more propeller work if you are going to pass Brad this year.
The pass button would take all the FUN out of racing him.

Its worth an ask.. however. just now.. the 4PX (around 10ish years old) has the last screens in house (just a hand full remain, heck they could be gone now)

I don't know the date but the 3PK came out in or around 2001-02 ish

Yes probably true . Hell I came out in 1956 and they are ramping up production on spare parts for me ! I have 2 nice 3 pks that just need a screen .

Aaaa..Yesss.. the 3PK.. I harken back to my early sponsorship with Futaba and the 3PK..

I was hired by Hobbico WHILE being sponsored by Airtronics.. (win the tunnel worlds) they freak out and instantly put me on the team.. LOL TOOO FUNNY... (I told them.. just because I work for you DONT JUST give it to me.. let me earn in.. (one race.. done!!!..LOL) TRUE! After that they wanted me to manage the marine team too.. LOL

the call to Bobby Tom was a hard one.. (but it was the right move at the time)

Tom. I love those 3pk too. I asked the rep at the Internats about repairing them. He gave me a smirk grin and said no. I think the radio was older than him…
