Change of plans. I need cash fast for next semesters text books, (college monopolies suck!). Price is now negotiable, no reasonable offer will be refused! Make your offers soon as I will have to resort to selling it to less qualified buyers if I don't sell soon! Help me get cash!
I built this for my wife and she decided to go back to cars. The boat has been clocked over 30mph and has only been run about 15 minutes. The boat and hardware are a combo pack and come with lots of little extras I used to build it.
Boat and hardware $120 o.b.o.
Sun yellow boat with fullers...
I was told with that setup I would not need the rear sponsons. Crap or fact? The boat is running wet, but I figured that this was due to my not knowing much about riggers. I'll post a pic of my setup later. Any suggestions on brush cooling?
I am running out of endbells on my Blizzard. I have the fullers hardware and am running direct drive. The motor is a 19/2 on 8 cells with a 1732. I have a cable collet to connect things. I went through 2 endbells with a bushings and just swithced to one with bearings. I tested it watching...
Now I know that most of you run brushless, but i am not. I have a Blizzard with the recommended Fullers hardware. I run 8 cells. I have a Speed Gems 15x4 and run with a 1732. I want more speed. What boats are everyone running (brushed) and what is your setup? What speeds are you hitting with...
I preped the wood with two coats of sanding sealer, then did three light coats of krylon primer. I allowed 24 hours between coats for drying, and used 600 grit paper to smoothen it out. Then did two coats of krylon sun yellow. It is an electric and won't see fuel. The hatch tape comes from...
I have a rigger that I bought from Climat Boatworks, the Blizzard. It's for fun mainly, no racing, speed is always good though. Also, why should I keep some charge in the batteries? I thought that NiMH batteries were free of memory.
I just bought some Panasonic NiMH 3000mAH batteries from my local shop. They say they are the best thing out there. (I hope they told me the truth.) They were never matched and I don't know what that means. Do they need to be matched, or can I just use them and let time match them for me...
I like the paper towel method, but I don't have enough time in a day to do it. I also have tried other methods of using epoxy and got a yellow hue to it and it peeled off like rubber. Any ideas on that problem? And any ideas on painting?
I just finished my first boat, a blizzard outrigger. I want it to be as smooth as possible in the water and want some help on how to finish it. I have to paint it since I made a few sanding errors. What should I use and what not use? Any help or advice?
I am finishing up my blizzard outrigger and need to choose a prop. I am debating two motors also a 10x2 or a 15x4. I will run 8 cells and want to go as fast as possible. Any ideas on a prop or any other ideas on how to make this boat scream?
I just finished painting my first outrigger. It is the blizzard from climate boat works. I need to choose a motor, esc and hardware. I can't go brushless yet (the wife won't let me), but any ideas would be appreciated.
