Ditto. As a relative newbie to the rc boating hobby this was the first time attending a race event for me. I was in the St. Catharines area on Saturday and could only attend from 9:00 till 1:00. The level of committment of those hosting the event was certainly evident. The location was awesome...
Similar set up (Turnigy 3665) and no problems with the T120. Only thing I would change is my batteries. I am using the same Zippyflight 5000mah packs that I purchased for my first supervee27 a couple of years ago. At 20C they get a pretty good workout on a 3 minute run.
Thanks to everyone for their input. A little inspiration, a little imagination and a bunch of perspiration and I have a functional and versaitle storage unit with room for six boats now and the capacity for future expansion. I had a couple of portable pvc stands that I simply adapted and...
LOL. Thanks, Brian. The shelf brackets look like they work very nicely. Funny thing is. . . I don't remember how many of those I sent to Habitat for Humanity a few years ago when I was cleaning out my garage. That was before I started into this hobby. I might just slip down to their Re store...
I am looking to build an inexpensive stand that will store several boats in a corner of the basement. Looking forward to building an MLboatworks kit this winter which will mean trying to keep seven boats from becoming trip hazards in my very limited basement workshop. Considered a modular pvc...
Decision made. . . Hope to order my gp335 in a couple of weeks. With only two builds under my belt (Redtail Kneeler and a JAE21) and no serious intention to do anything other than sport running it sounds like the MLboatworks kit will best fit the bill.
I thought I had a build plan for the coming winter. . . a whiplash sport 20. From everything I've read it has a pretty solid reputation. I would prefer something different in the cowl design though so I've been taking a closer look at the MLboatworks Gp335. I love the look of the modern hydros...
Thanks for the reply. I will give that solution some careful consideration. I checked the dimensions on the mounting holes and there is enough of a difference between the two mounting plates that I had to epoxy in the lower holes in the transom and locate two new ones. will let the epoxy cure...
Can anyone tell me what modifications, if any, I need to make to the hinge pin (? not sure of correct terminology) in order to use a a REK lower unit with a Hyperperformance mount? I have a REK installed on the transom of my kneeler hydro and have found it to be a major pain to make any...
