    Water Proofing

I think they mean splashproof. Put one under water one and connect it....NO DON'T. Maybe the newest Castle ESC (Hydra) may be closer but I doubt it. Keep it dry as much as you can. There is a conformal coating that OSE sells that works very well for ESC and radio. RC Hydroes uses it and his...

    Lube for connectors

GO to your autozone or whatever car parts store and get some spark plug Die-eletric grease in a small packet. Works good and is used for conenctions when electric is invovled and keeps plug boots from sticking to the lugs....even though this does not benefit us. Good stuff.

    What the heck is this?

I am interested in knowing what cells got that much run time...Lipo's or std nickels? Good job on getting decent stuff out there. It is a steal!

    Soldering battery packs

I always was told NOT to use a silver bearing solder for small electrical work. Am I wrong here? I use the small .062 Radio Shack solder for cells.

    Which ESC ????????????

If I were you I would buy it from Offshore Electrics. Looks the same and has reverse. Plus Steven will treat you better :) http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/MainPage.htm Go to Speed controls and look at the PROBOAT brand.

SAWS mono's ready for I.M.P.B.A. FE-II Time Trials

Jay...was it because of the RC Hydros Controller? Looks like it. I have one of those brand new with the stand up fets (air cooled) if anyone wants it...not for free, of course, but a good deal.

Hey...I'm here as well. Like Brooks...I just check this one and don't post as much. Probably better for you all that way :) Anyway...I had an invite from a great builder some time ago saying come over here and join in. I did that. Yes, the other board has some of great expereience but as long...

    Who's using Lipo's

I guess my question is...why can cell phones and other new gadgets contain these cells if so touchy? I have never heard of any explosions and charging is done by the basic nuts that do not know any better. Why are they considered safe in those devices?

Jim, glad to hear it. Weather certainly plays a big part. What were some of the speeds and in what classes? I take it someone will post some numbers soon.

Huntsville, AL Record Trial APR 1,2&3 2005

I, for one, would like to hear any ofthe details. Jim was running most sizes of my wire drives so I am anxious to hear how it went. I bet they were all just screaming fast.

    Wire drive coupler

You can bush it as stated and then you cut a slit in the bushing so the set screw hits the motor shaft.

    Graupner Keywest video

Perfect one to try if you don't want to mess with the metal ones. I also have a 40mm if you want one of those Longer run time and will still pick up lots of speed for you. $6 to your door.
