i had echo that the novarossi italy factory would have closed the activity, it was bad before and the covid 19 finished them, the machines would already be sold, do you have any information ?

I was watching a RC car race form Italia the other day and not one Nova Rossi engine was used. They were running OS engines

Novarossi has not been doing well for over a year ... there has been no research and development for a long time ... JP racing and Rody were the only ones doing research for 21 engines, Novarossi collected the research of these 2 geniuses. it was their agreements. the covid only accentuated the fall. there are hardly any more employees and the machines only run on demand ... they also had a lot of reliability problems on car engines.
21 FORFASTER engines (by Léandro PARISI) are much better, with exceptional after-sales service, also a man of genius and incredible kindness. FORFASTER RACING TEAM

Boaters,
Here is a post I made on my Novarossi Facebook page yesterday. I am still hopeful for good news as nothing official yet. Thank you.

All Customers,
We still haven't heard anything regarding Novarossi Italy. Just know rumors of Novarossi It closing have flourished every year (7 years and going), since Novarossi Marine USA became the North America exclusive and secondary Australian marine distributor. We always ask for pics or official news, have never received them, so life went on for many more years. Have any of you seen any pics or official postings on their status now? Please no hearsay. This needs to be direct knowledge with proof. Proof is not comments or statements on many of the RC forums. If not direct with proof, any negative unsupported comments will be removed.

I will say the current pandemic crisis is a different deal. 40% of the restaurants and small businesses in the United States are in jeopardy of going out of business. The same applies worldwide including Italy. Who knows what the outcome will be?

All I can hope is if Novarossi Italy has succumbed to the unrepairable financial damage caused by the pandemic, and their 25 employees lost their jobs, hopefully someone steps in and continues a great brand for all of us in this hobby to continue to enjoy. We feel having only one manufacturer and one choice left will kill whats remaining of the nitro hobby, and the gas RC option will be all thats left for many that love to run and race RC boats.

As soon as I receive official news either way, we will post on this Facebook page. Thank you.

If NR has in fact closed its doors it would a major let down for me, but i for one am not about to throw in the towel for a hobby I have so enjoyed for over 30 years.....as long as there is it least one engine manufacturer, and I can still get fuel and plugs, I’m going to run nitro boats........and who knows what may happen in the future, I’m staying optimistic because you never know......!!

getum DON!!!!!!
So thy let every one go and hope to have some one pick up what is left??????
Sounds like thy closed the doors right from the horses mouth.
But then we can hope for the best I guess.

Bill,
I agree. Most of us that love nitro will run whatever we can get our hands on to race. Being an outboarder, we were already doing that by purchasing older engines and parts anywhere we could find them, until Novarossi agreed to start building outboard engines. I am still hopeful Nova will reopen, or if financially no longer feasible, someone else will carry the line. Time will tell.
