Hey Sam, the Microtel is right off the Thruway, lots of food, shopping, ect. Last we checked there were a handful of guys staying there. There are plenty of options withing 15-20 minutes, although the Microtel is the only one with rooms blocked. Towns to search in are Webster and Victor. Both 15 mins from our site. Hope this helps.

Sam,

To add to Matt's post above -Hotels in the general area of Carey Lake:

Courtyard

100 Linden Park
Rochester, NY 14625
(585) 385-1000
This is probably the closest, and it is definitely the most direct. Approx. 15 minutes, dependent on the traffic, as it goes thru a town before you get out into the country towards the pond.

Hampton Inn (listed on RC Racing Events)
878 Hard Road
Webster, NY 14580
(585) 671-2050
This is about 20 minutes from the pond.

The next (3) hotels are all in the same area, there are quite a few restaurants in the area and a major mall about 5 minutes away.

Microtel (listed on RC Racing Events - mention Nitro Nats for special rate)
7498 Main Street
Fishers, NY 14564
(585) 924-9240

Holiday Inn Express
7502 Main Street
Fishers, NY 14564
(585) 672-2100

Homewood Suites
575 Fishers Station Drive
Victor, NY 14564
(585) 889-7500

We had our club our club meeting yesterday and discussed having open water both Wed. and Thursday. We will have club members on site on that Wed. so we will have open water both Wednesday the 13th as well ad Thursday the 14th.

Also dinner on saturday we are thinking of doing a chicken bbq dinner. Chicken, salt potatoes, mac salad and some desserts. Cost per person should be around $20. Also keep an eye out for T-shirt information. That should be out soon. Spring is right around the corner! See you all soon

Matt

Just a reminder that it would be nice to have some more guys commit to the race by paying their entries. Right now we have about half paid up. Should be a great event. Our club has 3 brand new scales to break in this spring. Watch out! See you all in a few months.

Matt
