Just wanted to say a big Thank You to everyone who put the race on and worked so hard to have it be a success. We had a great time and really hope that it becomes an annual event.

Thanks to the Brandon and Tampa club guys and gals for a great race ! Good competition , good buddies makes it a fun time . Lake monsters came from below and caused some havoc and carnage but we will replace some parts and be ready for battle . Mr. Windex Bill Gibson came back strong with his fleet ! congrats to all .

Super Event!

Thanks to the Brandon and Tampa Clubs for hosting and a shout out to Marty Davis and Mike Culhane for bringing it all together!

This was the perfect event for me to come out of retirement, Great Sportsmanship, Friendship and Comraderie which is what the hobby is all about!

Enjoyed seeing all my old friends as well as meet new ones!

Can't wait for the next one!

Ron

What a great race!

A big shout out to the organizers and all the local club members who worked to put on this NItro race!

Got to spend a day hanging with some of the best boat racers of all time....and I helped Ralph fuel his Winning Twin before one of his heats!

Good times! Many of our Northern friends came to race and some just to visit. Swedish boat racer and World Champion Anders Martinelle and another racer from Slovenia made the long trip from Europe solely to watch this race. Our old friend and r/c boat racer and Eric Swenson also attended for the weekend simply to spectate and get a little nitro in his system.

Make plans for next year! This race will surely grow in numbers for next year!

NITRO ROCKS!!

SUPER RACE. Weather not great, but seeing some nitro boaters I haven't in years ,Eric,Marty got my heart pumping, also

the smell of NITRO is making me get some nitro boats out of moth balls and play again.

Thanks for the GREAT event,

Bill

Late on Sunday a cowboy and his better half slipped through the crowd, sure was good to see the people that have made our hobby so much fun. AB made a appearance also.

Gary Erwine came by to smell some nitro, and it made the weekend complete for me.

Ron Byrd, is this the once every five year Byrd, or did the hook set and get ya back. Congrats from second place to ya.

To Marty and Mike. I needed the time off, and I'm blessed to have people that do it, and do it well.

Next year y'all.. Don't miss this race.

Sorry I missed Gary !!??? Hope he is doing OK . I saw Don and his wife and thought it was great they made the ride down from Masaryktown . They really did bring the Hydros to the forefront of competition in the early 80's !! Grreat job by the clubs to get this going , it will only grow . Sometimes you have to step outside the box !!! THANKS !!!!

The whole deal was an absolute BLAST for me....seeing nice people I haven't seen in over 2 years, which was the last time I raced...... racing around bouys with other boats is still a thrill for me....pitting with Tom, seeing the Tampa club folks who ive always thought the world of, as well the Brandon gang...we do go back a long way..so many other people that have always been great to me....GOD its a lot of names! Had the pleasure of pitting with Tom, next to Joe Warren and Ralph Almorila, and they wasted no time messin with my Windex/OCD thing

! We are very lucky as model boaters to have people who are as determined as Marty Davis is, among others to keep this facet of model boating going and possibly growing for us to enjoy......the 2 clubs that put this race on obviously worked their asses off to make it a success and the result was one of the most purely FUN events ive been to in quite sometime....if I couldn't make another race this year(I hope I can!)I will NOT miss this one when it comes around again, and I SINCERELY hope it does!

Oh, and it was fantastic to see Don and Jennifer Pinckert again after so many years! Don was always willing to spend as much phone time as needed to help walk me thru my first 20 Coyote build way back some 30 years ago. I was very grateful for that......GREAT WEEKEND!
