Looking good Rene...looks good in the corners...will be good to see how they perform in the rougher race water (ie when its windy and choppy)

Motor is probably still tight?

Looks good Rene. I really like the stability of the hull as loose as you have it right now...thats really good. It should give you a good safety buffer against blow off once you tighten it up a little for race conditions.

Just got word from Buddy Lowe on his NX320 at the tunnel masters race. I know he had a couple 2nd place heats and overall he really likes the boat in race water. Said he was able to hold it on the pins, and never had to let out in the turns. He had never had the boat in the water until thursday of this week. I am not sure what he ended up overall, but it doesn't matter...that boat is gonna win a lot of races down the road once he gets more time in. Things are definately looking up for this tunnel in the future! I am really proud of his news and the hard work he put in just to have the boat ready.

He was also only one turn and a flex cable breaking away from winning 1st overall in gas tunnel. The gas tunnel performed like it always does, on top, holding the pins wide open and pulling on everyone at the race...unfortunately the flex cable problem steped in and snatched away 1st. He ended up 2nd overall in that class.

Rene, in the last video, did you just loosen up the setup, or run a different prop as well. The speed seemed to be a good bit better.

Not true at all Mike. If you are getting this thread cleaned then this statement needs to be cleared by an admin as well.

Greg Rowe's Gas Insane Tunnel was the only one close. Look at the video below and you will see Buddy get passed....

I had nothing to do with what was cleaned and what wasn't Ron. If you have an issue with it, please talk to the moderator. I can't do anything about what was removed. I didn't ask for it to be removed. When I woke up the next day all the rest was gone. I stand behind what I said...Most of the later posts stating you were a great driver and congrats. I still appreciate the 3-4 championship wins you had with my gas tunnel. Between you, Buddy, and James...it made a huge splash in the gas tunnel world. That boat started ML Boatworks and got my stuff on the map...It helped Dick and I develop the long lasting friendship we have had. It is both our design. Why do you let things bother you so much? I am only supporting my products and letting everyone know that it ran well. If some things had gone differently, it had every chance to win 1st. Things didn't, so it didn't. It's not a big deal honestly. The people that were there saw the ML tunnel run, they even approached Buddy to talk more about the boat as they were impressed. It spoke for itself.

I doubt me posting in this thread will hurt the Thor's sales if that is what is bothering you? There is enough room in this industry for everyone that is here already. We are all designing these boats to support the racers like YOU. Vans, ML, Vision, HTB, Aquacraft, Leecraft, etc.....we all do this because we enjoy it and want to support this hobby. Yes, there is money being made, and that is a plus...bottom line...all these designers are helping the people that don't design their own boats get out on the water....Getting upset over a post or a product is only going to run all of the designers off...then what??? We don't have to take the pounding some of us have received. We are still here because we want to be. Who will get these products in your hands? Please think about that...We are doing ALL of this for you guys!! Countless hours EVERY night of the week, and most every weekend. I don't even get to a race...not that I can't...I just try to keep up with cowling layups, orders, and spend time with my wife. I have more fun hearing my customers stories..that drives me...most don't understand that I am a designer...its what I do...racing is cool, but it doesn't drive me.

The Thor has not hurt me or my ability to offer a good product. Not trying to be rude...but I really don't owe you any explanation to any of this. I have happy customers world wide. They get a great deal on a very nice product.

With that being said, This is a fellow boaters thread, not an off topic thread. I made my post as some of my customers that either own an NX320 or gas tunnel have been posting here. It was to update them as I said I would earlier in the thread. Nothing more, nothing less.

Moderators...please do not delete this post. I stand by this post.

Sorry Rene. If an admin can move this discussion to another thread that would be great.

Ron, Just so you know, this was the heat that buddy put in with 20 seconds left on the clock. He didn't get the boat in on time and he had over a half a lap to make up..Watch the video closely..you will see him get back to 3rd place...225 points if I remember right was his score for this round.

You know what..I just spent all that time writing all that, and by the time I finish, more stuff is posted that I just don't care to try and defend...In someone's build/ help thread on top of it all. Just forget it Ron. I am not interested. I'm done. This was our last shot. I'm over it!

Ron, get off your high horse. After speaking to a few people last week YOU are the biggest problem for people not wanting a THOR, no one else.

Kris,

You have been negative since day one so Im not surprised by your comment. There will be haters and supporters on both sides. The comments need to stay factual, thats all.

It is kind of sad that the last two years in gas class at the WTC only one heat in each race has someone placed third. Not what I would call a definitive test for any boat when only 1 or 2 boats finish a heat. Look at the results. 3 boats scored a heat win, two had 2 heat wins. 7 boats in 2012 and 2 thirds awarded. 2014 Greg Rowe had the fastest boat, Buddy's handled the best and Ron out drove them both. Much to do about nothing here.

Here's a fun fact, when i was reading the posts on this topic a couple days ago (when it started to derail) I said to myself "really Ron?!"... After reading today, I'm still saying it...lol
