hey every 1 i just wanted 2 know if any 1 new wot a good speed would b for a 3.5 k&b out board

The record for a stock 3.5 tunnel boat(LeeCraft w/K&B 3.5ss) is a little over 48 mph. That's really good.

You can decide for yourself what "a good speed" would be based on the record. However, the ablility to keep the boat on the water and right side up decreases with the increase in speed.

Some would call that inversely proportional and unfortunately for the most of us, it is soooooo true. :D

A good oval heat racing speed would be in the 43 mph range. Just for goofing around, well depends on how many times your willing to row for it.

Our sport tunnels heat race at around 46 to 47. Anything over 45 is real good in IMPBA.. im thinking that its the same in NAMBA..and APBA

ROCK ON.
