Properly setup, 45mph in heat racing speeds is respectable. Set the boat up so you are comfortable driving it. Do this with the speed listed and you will be fine.

Thanks, what kind of speeds can the hull handle doing strait runs? Was thinking faster motor but if hull cant handle it, no sense in money wasted...Thanks again....

I can get 48mph out of it on a straight sometimes but if it gets bumpy, I have to come off the throttle. I think you will see 39mph on the stock prop out of the box on good water, with an X642 and ok set up, 45mph ought be to be pretty consistent. It is a good LSH race boat for our club and performs well.
