I ran across the video on YouTube video of a heat at the 2011 NAMBA Nationals. It's Alfred Lanza from California and his Twin 84 Eagle SGX formerly owned by Allen Yuen racing agaist Bill "Wide Boy" Annabel from Australia. Accept for the second turn the boat is straight down the chute and good turns even when pulling up behind other boats. I'm not saying this is the fastest ever heat time by a twin. I am just saying it's the fastest I've seen documented on video. Looks like he turned about 1:03 or so in 6 laps with a lowsy second turn. Most other videos I see of Twins are not as consistantly running the same lane as this one. They are usually way off in lane 10 or on the buoys then back out to lane 10 again.

Great video but I will say he was in lane whatever on turn one .He did a great job of holding off on turning in turn 2 keeping his challenger at bay and picking up that quick lap 1 . Great vid !! Great water only 3 boats running makes for some fast times for sure . :D

I think in the first turn he was in lane half. Not too often if any that I see many Twin races finish with two boats let alone three but yet they are still out in lane 20. :D

Rick, worth pointing out that in Australia we run 5 laps over a longer course so the times are not directly comparable.

Yah I've seen this but it is also worth mentioning that it doesn't matter whether it is 5 laps or 6 laps. Anabelle is still a strong competitor world wide. No doubt. It's not very often if ever that I've seen Annabel when he doesn't make the podium with his world famous Intimidator Twin. That was a good run there and good consistant driving no matter how many laps it was.

We do 6 laps. 6 laps equals 1 mile.
