Thanks Ron, we are very blessed to have two great kids. and yes Carter loves to smack talk. I will definately ask him about the prank on the way to school in the morning.

I was wondering why Kenzie asked me like 5 times how many classes there were and even had to go to the drivers stand and show her the total classes. She does have a huge heart for people and is a very artistic individual. When I started packing up I then noticed why she needed to know how many classes were run. She really wanted to knit all the flags but she said there was just not enought time. Col. Beasley got the knitted flag because he gave both kids balloons and told them to blow them up and pop them behind me. (I owe you one Beasley.. ..lol)

I had heard of the Mr Leecraft and his competitve nature and personality and it was equally great meeting you and watching those fast boats. Look forward to meeting up with you again at the next venue.

Thanks again for the kind words about our kids, this day in time it is hard to raise a child and shelter them from the society we live in to make them better people. This is why we always try and involve them in rc boat racing, people like you and your wife are great influences on the younger generation as are a majority of the racers we have befriended thru the last 5 years.

One more thing and I just got to pick a little: Because I'm bald does not mean I look like a Mike (Mudbug) my name is Doug and your are at least the 10th person that I have met at a race that thought my name was Mike. All fun and games but at the end of the day it's all about having fun no matter what people call you. . .lol
Hahahahahahaha. Sorry Doug. I had Mike on the brain!!!!!!!! Mike Hemrick, Mike Byer, Mike Brevoort that ran my kneeler at the WTC, guess I was calling everybody Mike..... ;) I went back and corrected my posts. See ya at the races again soon. Tell me what Carter says about my prank.....

It was a good weather relaxing weekend. Got to play boats and be entertained by a 10 year old and her little doggies. It wasn't so much about the boats this time for me as it was just hanging out with some good friends and having a good time.

John

Hey guys is the scores for the Showdown. Offshore is not on the list but Ivan win offshore in a run off with Don. Had a great time this weekend and thinks for all the help from club members. Also like to think John Finch for Cding a few races for me.

John, hope she didnt bombard you too much with the dogs, she loves animals of all kinds. Don Mcgurn found a frog in his pit. I told him to throw it in the pond before Mackenzie found it and new pet going home with us. . .lol

Glad you all had a nice weekend. I've got all my FE boats dialed in Ron (still working on the gas mono). I'm really happy with how the $79 Tower Special TS-3 is running. I had a pretty easy go of it in Hagerstown in B/P-Lim Tunnel without you, James and the Loebs. Can wait to mix it up with the big dogs. Hope you all can make it up to Centreville. Less than four weeks away!!

Haha. Thanks to the PTPT club for a great time. Mike x 2, Frank, and all the guys did a super job. We had a great time at the race. Im sure Hemrick will be listing scores soon. Had a couple of bad heats with my D Tunnel from a steering servo and a lean DNF and ended up third, but won B Tunnel, kneeler, Gas Mono against the crazies with Donnies MicroBurst, and third in open gas cat.

I think we have lost Dick to FE and Gas. He won FE/B Hydro with an FE and Gas Rigger with another one of Donnies boats. He came in second in FE/B mono with an FE. Carol won B Stock and came in second in Gas Hydro with the third gas boat Donnie brought. His three gas boats won two firsts and one second. He built the gas engine of Dicks on my gas outboard and is the best engine builder in RC that I have ever met. Beasley won Gas Sport Hydro, second D tunnel, third B tunnel. Buddy won B mono and D tunnel.

Kenzie won my heart over this weekend. If you ever want to trade her for a good RC Boat, I'll swap even! lol. She hung out with me a good bit and I always try to be supportive and encouraging of the children at our events, hoping to make a good and memorable impression on them. I supplied expert slingshot making resources from my parts bin (rubber bands and duct tape) as well as balloons for general pleasure and possible prankster purposes (I will gain a racing advantage anyway I can!). lol. She is adoreable for sure. Oh, Max the puppy is cute too. As it turned out my good deeds were rewarded as I was the honored recepient of the deluxe hand knitted Winners Fist Place Flag. It will be mounted and secured to my trophy wall on the door of my boat trailer. Doug and Cari did a good job raising her for sure. "Beasley"

Mr Donnie strikes again...he helped me win the Fall Nats in Charlston. Congrats to you guys...can not wait to see you guys again,SOON

We had a great time (Carol and myself) racing and being with our friends a big thanks to Donnie his stock gas boat that Carol drove only lost because of a bouy cut in the final heat she won B Sport Tunnel also had one of his engines on it. COOKIES were yummmmmy. Thanks to greensboro gang for a fun weekend and Mike Byers for 4000 retrive boat runs. The down side was Carols D tunnel was killed we will get her something to replace the complete rig with, and her new Thunderboat has a lot of damage but will have it ready for ATLANTA (its real fast :D :D :D ) . Oh well gotta get busy fixin stuff.

We had a blast

Dick an Carol

Thanks Stan. We look forward to seeing you at a race soon as well. Fall Nats 2012?

Talking about Mr. Donnie, on top of bringing three gas boats to the race, and walking away with two first place medals, and one second place medal around his neck, he also jumped right in to help Dick, Carol, and I all weekend with our other boats too. Beyond his incredible knowledge about engines and setting up boats, he is a joy to be around. I am thankful for his friendship....... :)

Thnks for the kind words Beasley, but now I owe you two, she was wanting to pop me with that sling shot something bad. Didnt know you had a part in that one. Thought she made that herself, nothing suprises me anymore with her. I wish more kids could be involved in rc boat racing, love to see them race and they are very competitive. Thanks also for pitting with Carter in RTR. I had my hands full in that class with all four entrants being my family and me being the person setting up all four boats. Hard to start four of them at the same time.

WOW, what a fun filled weekend down at the Carolina Showdown! The members of the ODMBA had a great showing and did well in placing in their classes. One of the highlights for me was driving Donnie's stock gas boat. Omigod, after chasing Steve Speas around for six laps (mind you the rest of the field was almost a half a lap behind us :D ) my adrenalin was pumping so hard I thought my heart was going to come out of my chest, and my legs were shaking so hard I was having a hard time walking. But the grin was so big on my face I was able to regain some composure to run in my next class. Donnie, I can't thank you enough for the opportunity to drive that boat. It was a dream to drive. Can't wait to drive it again. Coming in second to Steve was great! It wasn't until the thunderboat class that all that adrenalin resurfaced. It started out pretty good. John Finch got out in front and I was hot on his trail trying to catch him. Again, he and I were almost a half a lap ahead of the field. I could gain a little on the straight-away, but the turns killed me. After lap 4, I just got too far into the course. My finger was glued to that trigger and I just couldn't understand why I couldn't move to the left fast enough. Hit a bouy, flipped a couple of times and that was the end of that for the weekend! I'll be seeing you again John  ! John and Steve have a 100 years( :p ) driving experience between them, and I thank them for passing on some of that knowledge to me this weekend. Even though I almost fell asleep in my food at the whoppin-choppin restaurant, the food was out standing and so was the company. Ron and Sheila tried to teach me to use chopsticks, HA. It wasn't until Mike came to my recue with chopsticks made for dummies that I was able to eat with them!!! Thanks Mike  ! You're ALWAYS entertaining! Ron and Buddy, thanks for pitting for me, Donnie for tossing most of the boats in, and of course my husband, who keeps my boats running :) . Looking forward to seeing you all in the near future. I think the next race for us will be the "Gas Bash". We've never attended, looking forward to good times! Carol

Good job runnin' with the big dogs Carol!!!! Glad you and Dick had a great weekend of racing!!!

You guys are gonna go to the Gas Clash at Delmarva? I will probably be there so Since I will not be running anything, I will be free to pit for you guys anytime....

Carol
It was fun for sure. We all had a great time. You need to put some weight in that thunder boat so I can keep up with you.

John
