I have an Aeromarine sprint cat that I just put a CMB RS.45 in and I can't get it to get on the pipe. I am using the black, muffled CMB pipe and do not know what length to set it at. What would be a good prop to start with? In my Seaducer 3-D I ran the pipe at 10 5/8 and that was a good length for that boat. Would the Sprint Cat run the same length pipe?

Thanks for your help.

I think that 10'5/8 is a little on the long side. I run my 40 mono at 9'1/4 with an CMDI parabolic. I would start at 9'1/2 and try a prather 245?

A CMD black pipe is NOTHING like the parabolic !!

10 3/4" is a good lenth with that pipe in a RPM/ low required torque application.

Cats however need a LOT of torque.

First I would keep backing off on prop size till engine wakes up ... Or reset lenth to @ 11 - 11 1/4" & still play with props.

Strut depth should be From 1/8" to 1/4" above ride pads IMO.
