To take Mike's advice one step further, you also need to look at the length of the fuel lines. Longer lines make it harder for an engine to draw the fuel from the tank. While this may not seem like an issue if you're running pipe pressure, the further the fuel has to be pushed by the pressure, the less effective the pressure will become. Just something more to consider when setting up a boat

I just got a beautiful set of saddle tanks from Mr. Barney for my older PT SS45 and they will slip in right behind the motor mounts. It should keep the fuel lines pretty short. I don't know what I was thinking. :)
