First off that's fast on land, secondly they talk about drag in the video. Could be what is limiting speed in our boats. They talk about the drag holding the car back at 1000 mph is almost the same as the thrust pushing it.

Btw...my speed record is M2.02 up high, low was 779 its......(almost m1.2 low level)
