Smallest Receiver pack ?

Just finishing a sport40 whiplash and with my radio box layout I am struggling to fit a 5 cell AAA 800 mah nimh pack in it. I prefer 6 volts but if these AAA hump and flat pack dont fit Im not sure what I can do. Would a LIPO or LIFe receiver pack be much smaller. Man that is a tight radio box .. thanks tony J

I cant seem to find anything smaller than 1100 mah A123 packs ?

If you radio box is long an narrow the 2/3A NiMH 6V flat pack may be on option. Dimensions are 3.4L * 1.2W * .7H. They will weigh a little more though.

Hyperion LiFE 850 mAh packs rock! Now do remember that LiFE packs need a LiFE charger. It is nice to charge them up in 5-15 minutes and run all day long on them.

Hyperion makes a 200 mAh pack (for those .12 boats) that is about the size of a stamp and only weighs like 1/2 oz!

Tower has some Hobbico packs, cost more and they do not go down to the 800 mAh range, however they make a neat low cost charger.

I run one similar to that in my single cell lipo on road car. Mine is 250ma. A 6 volt 700ma AAA NiMh flat pack fits in a PT SS21 front radio box, I could probably fit 4 of them in a sport 40 front box with full size servos for the throttle and third channel.
