servos

I know this is a stupid question but I don´t know which servo should I use for steering 3.5 outboard unit. Standard servo or more powerful one?

Hey Tomy,

I'm sure you don't want to use a standard servo on an outboard unit but I really don't know which one works best.

If you ask this question on the ( outboard forum ) you might get a quicker answer. It really doesn't matter but I just thought it might help you.

Go with a standard servo. You don't want high speed is not really needed, mini servos don't provide enough throw.

Outboards kill rudder servo's with nylon gears....... especially standard ones.
