Thanks guys!

Here's a forward view.

The way the engine quit I thought I cooked a piston, just the carb arm falling off. From the shore it sounded like a overheat sag. The water was near freezing and I really had to restrict the flow.

You can see the ice accumulate on the booms. In fact the lake froze that night. Must be three feet thick by now.

Thanks for watching

Great videos! Whereabouts RU?

This is old but fun none the less. I did not care about attempting to win the heat. I was just making the vid and wanted to see other boats.

Thanks Terry. I live in Montreal. I have a cottage about an hour north of the city on Barron lake. Lots of water skiing, tubing in the summer so mostly I run the boats October on until the lake freezes.

This year it froze early. Last year it went till Christmas. Spring can be good too, just have to watch for floating debris as there are many docks in disrepair around the lake. I have video of hitting a 2x6 with a mono saved somewhere.
