pipe length on Nova LS with Irwin "J" pipe

Hey everyone, was wondering at about what length to start when using an Irwin J pipe on a Nova Rossi LS. I am going to attempt to run a 1440 prop and would like a starting point. Thanks all, Rodney

I did a search on this forum with "pipes" and this came up:

So roughly 8-8,5 inches seems a good start.

But some people will answer more specific.

Measuring from the glowplug to the widest point of the pipe.( through the system)

THATS OK , FOR THAT PIPE . IF YOU HAVE A NEWER ONE , Q SERIES , YOU WILL FIND YOU CAN GO WELL BELOW 8 INCHES ?HOW FAR DEPENDS ON HOW WELL YOUR BOAT AND ENGINE IS
