Go to your local autobody paint store. They should have paint stiper for fiberglass. They should have that in at spray can forum.

I have tried the paint strippers from Walmart and from Canadian Tire (in Canada; both in an aerosol spray can and a tin can. While both strippers removed the epoxy paints (K&B, Hobbypoxy and Klasskote, they also softened the polyester glass hull and even softened the epoxy glue joints in wood hull. In fact, they worked very well as a epoxy glue dissolver !!

I have since wet sand to remove old paint.

Thanks to ALL for your help.

I am presently sanding it. Lots of work and a pain in the a**

3m wet sand papers go from about 60-2000 . Use with a little dish soap and the cut way better than dry. Is the paint all cracked? well aged paint makes great primmer or you can straighten ripples ect by cutting it down as long as your topcoat doesn't attack it.
