The black one, part # 13952 is an OS Speed engine, a little better all the way thru.
However, I have not had any of the silver, part # 13951, so have not been able to compare side by side.
I believe you will be satisfied with a newer OS engine no matter what type you may pick.

Now if more of you guys across the pond would put your love and bucks on OS engines, it might be an idea looking into the flywheel option for SG shafts. ;-)

I have to agree that its a little beast. It rips in this old Steve Muck Streaker hull and its a real heavy boat. I was impressed. I'm running a x440x3 prop . what are you running on your seaducer ?Any pics of your seaducer? I have a sd3 but has a picco in it. Edit I found some pics of the sleeve and crank and how they matched the case to the sleeve from factory. and the large bore carb on it . definately nice something its from 1991 .

https://www.ebay.com/itm/294412988382I keep this one in my ebay watchlist in case I need one. It uses the needles a lot of the os carbs take. 20j and so on. then just add a arm for the needle.
I think what Brandon meant was the 3rd that actually sits on the carb 🤔
Luckily I kept some in my big box of retro parts 😁
For a separate 3rd needle there is multiple options. I’ve been using the CMB 3rd needles, and also some German made 3rd needles that are very nice.
However, it is not a huge or difficult task to make.

You do have a bunch :O . I forgot about the other that bolts through a bracket. I have a couple of those too. I like the look of those other needles you have in pic. Nice.

I got these from Frank Werner, he goes by D-7 on this forum but he is not frequently online.
If I remember correct those are lab equipment. Comes with 2 different needles.

Those were nice engines back in the day. I believe I still have retro parts enough to build complete new engines 😎
Btw, in 1991 the OS Max .21 RX series was released. Came out as RX-R, RX-B and RX-M. Then in 1998 (I believe) the .21 XM came out, based on the .21 RX-B internals more or less. Even today the piston/liner is the same as it was back in 91. I guess there is no other P/L that has been in production for 30 years. ****, just think about what it would have been like if the OB market was big enough for OS to make an OS Speed version of the outboard as well 😍
Rody Roem made some nice engines for this purpose, but I don`t think they sold very well, if they did we would probably still be able to see him make ob versions of the newer engines.
