will this motor work with a flywheel and flex hex? the shaft is shorter than the standard threaded shaft. this is the one on sale for $99 at tower. the standard length version is $20 more!

To say that it won't work I think would be wrong, but if you are worried about $20, I think you would eat that up in a custom fly wheel. Then I don't it will be as strong. I personally would stay with the standard length engine.

Probably not with the short shaft. some engines need a spacer between the case and flywheel then you have to have enough for the flex hex to hook to. Pay the extra $20.00, it's still a good buy.
