wish I had'nt thrown away the remaining portion of that RCM magazine copy as it had the details on that custom Octura Wing Ding 60 on the cover. It was powered by a modified Rossi R90 Marine. I believe it was built/owned by Art Hammond?

you are correct, I totally remember now. Garry DaLarra was NAMBA District 9 ? And I believe Art Hammond did the engine, or maybe the prop ?

Hi John, I've had my heart set on building a Twin Gas "Wing Ding" for a few years now. Also being trying to get plans for the twin or even a 60 size Wing Ding with no luck. I do have a good running 40 size Wing Ding and have been looking at it to get some idea if I should go on with the project for next years build. If anyone out can help, let us know !!!!! was gonna mention, Dave c/o Hyperformance Products Inc., owns the molds to the complete line of Prather Products model boat kits. He has the mold for the "Piranha" outrigger kit, which is essentially an epoxy-glass Wing Ding 60 equivalent, a very cool looking boat. I believe he can lay-up a new Piranha hull for you by request (I'm not sure of price). You can call, or e-mail, him:

You would only have to purchase the Wing Ding sponson brackets, and solid 5" wide motor mount, through Octura Models (they still carry these items, just need to call directly and inquire). All other necessary hardware (flex-shaft, shaft-log, rudder assy, etc.,...can use current sources)

Dave does great fiberglass work. I recently had him lay-up a new Prather 40" Deep Vee hull, very nice. I also own an original Piranha kit (I purchased back in 1980's), working on now.

I had a friend ,he has build up a Wing Ding 60 Twin with Rossi engines awsome boat , He is looking in his picture box but dosnˋt know where to search first. Maybe , than we will post the pics.
