So, just before winter I picked up this 81 Malibu that I am building into a street/strip car. Plans are for a 6.0 LS series engine with a 76mm billet wheel turbo. All factory interior (bench seat even) heat, a/c, radio etc.

Anyways, here is where it was when I picked it up, and then a few pictures of where it currently sets. I wont post them all, as I have a TON.

Got a wild hair and decided I was going to remove the Landau portion of the B Pillar and convert it to a standard pillar. Glad I did, as I found some rot at the bottom back corner of the drivers side quarter panel window that I would have never found without removing it!

Got new metal all welded in the channel and got rid of the rust. Did a bit of body work and got it all squared away.

Had Marty come over and help me remove the front clip. Got everything in primer and started spraying some color.

Then decided to push it outside quick to see what it looked like in a little sun:

As you can see in the above pictures I messed up a couple areas on the bumpers so will have to respray them. But, not bad overall for never holding a darn paint gun!! Its coming along. Goal is to get the entire car in paint here within the next month or so, then pull the body off the frame as I have some bracing to do to it as well.

Holy pictures Batman! Just please tell me you are going to keep the stock rims:) If any extra money comes up you should put a super charger in front of a massive turbo!!! Keep up the good work.

I've been following your progress on facebook. Your doing it the right way, taking your time and fixing everything right. Looks good. What motor are you going to go with?
