Thaks Don,

I really like the looks of that boat, that's a killer looking cowl. I have the same boat in 67/80 size I am going to restore one of these days. Now I have a good idea what it should look like ( well what I wish it will look like).

Mike,

If you need anything other than pictures for your old Crapshooter

project just ask on RCBoat. They were and are manfactured here

in INDY and a lot of those guys used to run them.

Propjockey,

"What do you mean workbench?" That's my living room! ;D

hey don

jo(laxmaster) came over sat. and got a lot done on the rigger sponsons.....

ower boat is gonna kick some buttt!!!

not like i can bet yours but this baby should hit 45 before it sinks..

Matt

"JIM" Yup that's me!

Really good to hear from you. I'm still here in INDY, how about

you.

(Are you still making those beautiful Tuned pipes these days?)

Don :)

Matt:

Sounds like you got some good help there. You for sure

are building the right boat. It should run great.

I'm doing some extensive work on my rear sponsons right now.

Got them to 2 degrees angle now. Should work much better.

Don ;)

wowzers!!!!!! [i know, corny word but i cant resist :) ]

lookin' great, especially the paint job. i like the heatsink on the engine, good way of taking advantage of all that cool air blowing by........ are you going to use a wind scoop or anything like that on your carb air intake?

me n' matt's kickbutt has the intake on the other side, so we might try to put a tube around to the other side to channel air into it, im afraid it wont get enough air coming in to max out otherwise. what pipe is that?

joe

Hey Joe,

Don't worry about the air intake, it'll get plenty. Worry about water

getting into the intake! You might want to make a simple water

deflector over the intake to keep other boats rustertails from

drowning it out. The boat you'r talking about is a 20 year old .67

Crapshooter with an OPS engine and pipe. We designed the

water cooled head with the idea of keeping down the heat warpage

from the exhaust side of the engine. Don't know if it really worked

but it didn't hurt.

Don

oh, okay........

yea, i realized we might have a problem with the intake "intaking" the wrong substance, but a wind scoop or intake manifold would have solved that problem. since the intake doesnt get hot, i'll probably just put a copper hood over it or something like that. thanks for the advice,

joe
