Does anyone run a motor that has 2 plugs, I'm in the procces of getting a cmb 67 dual plug gold head, I was wondering if when you start the motor do you have to heat up both plugs or only one? Any other tips for this motor would also be appreciated.

Thanx,

Mark

I don't own myself, but Nitrotoys does & I have helped him get it started. He just heats one plug. It seemed to work fine. I'm sure there are others that can give you better advice though

You will only need to heat one. The other will heat up after the motor fires. Under no load the motor will run with one plug no problem on the stand. After a couple of firings at TDC the other plug will be lit just the same.

I've seen racers start the boat with one plug then briefly hit the other one with the ignitor after the motor has fired.

I just heat one, and if cold may crack the other one loose. starts right up.

and then tighten.
