would it make a difference if i put a .064 aluminum plate on the transum and then put the motor mount to the al. plate? i want to put hash marks on the plate and the motor mount so i dont need to guess on the amount that i am adjusting. so would it make a difference putting the mount out just a little bit? on a htb 340 with a k&b pro

Rosko,

O.k., let's see if I remember how to convert a fraction into a decimal. Take the 16 in 1/16 and divide that into 1 and you get pretty close to .064 give or take a couple of thousandths. So, now I have a number I understand - that's like a 1/16" piece of plywood.

And, the answer to your question is - NO, it should not make any difference to the performance of the boat by adding the piece of aluminum to the transom.
