Mogul Racing?

with just about all boats geared towards top speed and stability not turning [especially riggers] there isnt much chance of this, but has anyone ever heard of or participated in any type of mogul or course racing?

hey, if there can be a special SAW type boat, couldnt there be a special CSE [course] type boat?

that is the FSR racing (multi boat in Australia).

Racing an "m" shaped course so there are left hand turns as well as right.

There are also events like NAVIGA Triangle...

i know it wouldnt be possible with a rigger, but couldnt a mono be adapted to turn easily both ways by simply placing the rudder directly over the prop and maybe changing the tuning some.....

Have a look at the designs of boats used for Multi racing in Europe.

These boats are not as fast as oval racing boats but much more manouverable, and can turn both left and right. They also do not tend to plane as high in the water as oval boats in the interest of stability.
