Brad, Yeah, I think you are right. I worked on this yesterday. Might be what I go with:

Would a Nitro version be coming? Very cool looking boat!

My thought/question too. Looking at the pics, leave the lid off the rear box for a fuel tank, add a wall to the rear of the front box for a radio box & PRESTO - a nitro version is born from the same pile of wood! Seems easy enough to do on my build board (-;

Yeah, Robin is right, that would work perfect. Not going to pursue any nitro tunnel versions, but a change that simple and its nitro. If someone wanted it nitro, I can leave out that back hatch and lightening hole for them. Sponsons got sheeted last night,and look awesome. Pics soon as I am on my phone at the moment.

Sheeting templates made for the ride surfaces and sponson decks, and u can see the little rounded rear corner, I love little detailing, haha

You gotta quit being so **** prolific with these new hulls, Mike - LOL! I might just have to try one of these as a nitro IMPBA Sport 20 tunnel. That would make FOUR of your kits to build this winter 0-: !! Sport 20 tunnel, sport 20 hydro, 20 Wild Thing & 20 rigger. I imagine that makes me a ML groupie (-;

Lol, prolific, thats a big word Robin! If you finish the hull kits you have, I will call you a groupie, until then, you are a collector!

The cowl drawing looks great Mike!!! I would do a nitro boat also, Let us know they are available as I will have to order a Hawii Kai also. My winter build schedule is going to be full as I already have Bob's electric rigger to build.

Brad

The dowel lock loops work great keeping the sponsons square to the tunnel. You can see how well the ride pads sit on the granite board...dead square! Test fitting some recovery pads, they will be silicone on as i want to test various designs. That is one thing I never spent enough time on those with the past lineup, something Paul at PTI perfected on those hulls, so I need to do the same on this one.

Cowling plug is moving along. Got the foam in, and glass coat added. Next I will sand, add filler, and prime, and see where its at!
