magnets for cowls

I know this has been asked before, but I can't find the thread. Can someone please tell me where I can get these magnets for holding cowls down or post a link to the thread. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

depends on your application, or what your trying to hold down. I have used the 1/2 and 3/8 for cowls on monos. Hope this helps

yes it does help. I never have used magnets before so I was not for sure. My cowl is a smaller one so I am sure the 3/8 probably will do just fine. Thanks again for the help.

K&J magnets is the way to go.I used the 1/2 inch round ones from the surplus there real cheap.I mount them in a block of wood i use a 1/2 inch end mill in a drill press to recess the magnets.They also have mounting magnets with studs or nuts built in.Might want to look at the ones you can screw done with a flat head stainless screw.
