I want to leave my tunnel natural wood . I was thinking of sealing the birch ply with 2 coats of Pacer finishing resin and then spraying 3 coats of Krylon clear gloss spray paint . Has anyone went this route ? Any suggestions would be welcome . Regards Andris Golts.

The first drop of fuel will destroy it. You must use Automotive paint.

Try going by a couple auto body shops, tell them what your doing and

ask if they could shoot the clear for you.

Just a Hint: Bring Beer. ;)

Hi Andris,

I would go with a spray poly like what they use on furniture. I've used it in the past on riggers and the shine/finish is much nicer. If you can't find the spray on poly use Rustoleum clear gloss, it's better than the Krylon clear.

Krylon Crystal Clear is great on electric boats. Easy to apply, enconomical, looks very good and tasts great.
