K&B 3.5 SS Modifications

Just want to play around and get more speed out of my K/B ss outboard, right now it is bone stock.

What mods does this engine like?

Is this engine good for anything more than just the Sport 20 class ?

Pipe, carb, head clearance, prop, nitro, etc.....

Squeeze the head to .005-.008 and rock. A turbo crank might help a touch anything else is not needed. A fine wheel to propel the boat and a good lighthull hanging just off the bouys will keep the wolves away MIKEY

On a sport boat Prop is the key. A good light boat does not hurt eather..

I would say set the head at .011"

make sure the skeg is straight to the prop shaft

and

run as much nitro in the motor as you can afford.
