Hi guys I'm about to build my first set of JAE sponsons. Any hints or tips you guys recommend?

Yes i agree dont use clamps, i found using masking tape works well. Martin.

i use 3/8" plywood scraps cut into 1" wide strips. the strips are long enough to bind with a rubber band on either end past the part(s) being glued up. strips close together, on both sides of the piece(s), the entire length of the assembly. can control the pressure & apply it pretty evenly over the entire area being assembled. works well on flat curved sections like decks & sponson tops, not just flat stuff .
