Hi Folks,
I want to share what I found while working on my JAE .12 see pictures.
1. Rudder servo plans say 1/2 from transom measure to case or wood holder?
2. Need to know battery pack does not fit if you follow plans.
3. Stuffing box tube lined up with the engine installed.
4. Which side of the boat does the rudder mount attach? The rudder comes in nice packaging with a great picture. However, is just opposite of what I have seen on the boats here. Not clear.
5. If the servos fell over one more time…..just add two 1/8 pcs of hard wood for a bigger footprint makes it fun again.
6. Clevis I cut the locking side off so I can position quickly works great.
Other than that, it is fun to work on.
I am trying to beat the ice coming in Chicago. LOL
Mike Crawford of Woodstuff 1-262-210-9403 built the tub and skinned the sponsons or I would never be this far along.
