Here is the record run video of Martins run at Huntsville Saturday 11-27-2010

first off, a big thank you to the huntsville model boat club for an awesome event !

this was the first ever record trial that i have attended and i am already itching to go again..we had wind for most of the afternoon both days so luckily when the water laid down saturday evening i was ready to go and it all came together..sunday morning i made 2 attempts to lower the record but came up a little short, it was a little colder in the a.m and i didnt get enough heat in the engine to go as fast and then the wind came up too much..once the wind started to lay down late sunday afternoon david and i decided to use my time to run the 21SAW boat so i never made another attempt to lower the oval record..most of the afternoons were spent watching the gas boats battle the rough water and bench racing..my favorite was watching brian blazer set the SAW crackerbox record in some pretty rough water! it was so rough that the drivers had to be tied in because they kept trying to bail out :)

david, bill, and john thanks again for all your hard work putting on the event..congrats to all the guys who set records...and to everyone that came it was a pleasure to hang out with yall for 2 days.. charles go easy on the oil :p , and doug get the pot tarts hot soon :-o !!

Congrats again Martin!! Well done sir!

If it's ok with you, I'll just get those pop tarts warm.

It was good to meet you!

I was very impressed with Martin as a person and a boater. He is a very accomplished boater for no longer than he has been in the hobby. He builds his own boats (Very Nice Workmanship), does his own engine work, prop work and a pretty dammm good driver. He also does a good burnout in the Beauregard's Resturant parking lot as a victory celebration....THAT WAS COOL!!!

There was no doubt that Martin has been working very hard in what little spare time he has running big cars. He earn every time he placed on Saturday and Sunday and I enjoyed watching someones very hard work pay off with records. Next time you come I will bring my Twin and let you drive it around the pond a little. You will fine that no viagra is required. Also order the material for your turn fins today will try and get them ready this weekend.

Will, you need to post some video of your cat boat. There are very few cat boats that hang the whole boat out on just the prop for 330' in both directions. It was a sweet running boat.

Thanks. I wish i would have got to go faster, and had the boat tuned to do it sunday night... but it just wasnt my weekend and didnt have luck on my side. I was happy the boat ran 75+ the multiple times it did, as ive only had the boat on the water 3 times before the event.

Heres one of the passes from the event..

hoping maybe someone else got some video of it as this was pretty much the only pass i had on my camera, and it looks like i hit the ski jump (even though it didnt)
