OPEN MOUTH INSERT FOOT In order to put on a good race it all starts by keeping boaters minds on the event. Not a tickle a month. This is a shame but for the impba par for the cource. Some districts get great support, others get none. Just my 2 cents
As President of PMBC in Ohio, I know the huge amount of work and efforts that’s involved with hosting the IMPBA NATS. When we did it in 2007, I think the last month became such blur of work, worries, and excitement, that even today I can not remember parts. But, I'll tell you after it was all said and done, maybe even as far as weeks after, I realized it was all well worth it, and am very proud of our club and it's members. I've talked with Pete over the phone, and understand some of the frustrations the club is going through. I can tell you my feelings are that if they end up hosting or canceling, it's not due to a lack of interest or intensions on their part. If the entries are not there, it will not be the grand race it's intended to be.
I started making plans to attend the Elmira NATS last year and have had my entry form sitting on my desk for over three months. Unfortunately due to a family illness, I may not be able to attend, but wish the club all the best and thank you.

Kinda lame to point fingers, and play the blame game.I don't think I have met a more dedicated individual to this hobby than Pete (Forcier) and am sure that the decision of the Board of Directors along with the Elmira group is carried with a heavy heart. Centrally located ? EVANSVILLE was about as geographically centrally located as can be presented, and turnout was low. The times we are currently in will pass, things will level out, and we just have to look FORWARD and be ready.Looks like someone jumped at a chance to back out. This turn out is also an example of why the internats should be in a more central location.
The annnouncement submitted to the IMPBA board members that I posted in the following thread was by Mr. Pete Forcier who is listed as the primary CD-When are we going to hear something from the actual cd's of the race. I haven't had a email on this yet. They have my email address it was on my entry form.
